General Terms and Conditions
1. Conclusion of the contract
The contract is concluded as soon as the room has been ordered and confirmed, or – in case of arrival without prior reservation – has been made available. The orderer and/or client is jointly and severally liable for all obligations arising from this contract. The contractual partner of the hotel or the guest as such is fully liable to the hotelier for damages caused by himself or his fellow travellers. Any use of the rooms provided that deviates from the contract shall entitle the hotel to terminate the contract without notice. This does not reduce the claim to the agreed fee.
2. Arrival and departure
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, room occupancy is possible no later than 15:00 on the day of arrival. If reserved rooms are not occupied by 6 p.m. at the latest and no later arrival time has been expressly agreed, the hotel may dispose of the room. On the day of departure the room can be used until 10:30 a.m.
3. Services and prices
The contractual services result from the information in the confirmation of the reservation. The agreed prices are inclusive. All prices are in Euro.
4. Payment
For the reservation the hotel can demand a deposit up to the amount of the possible cancellation fees. If this deposit is not received on time on the account of the hotel, the hotel is entitled to withdraw from the contract. Unless otherwise agreed in writing between the partners, the balance or payment shall be made at the latest before departure.
5. Withdrawal
A withdrawal is possible at any time and must be made in writing. The date of withdrawal is the date of receipt of the notice of withdrawal by the hotel. In the event of withdrawal from the reservation, early departure or non-use of agreed services, the client or guest will be charged cancellation fees, the amount of which is stated at the end of this column for individual travellers (up to 5 pers.). For groups of 6 persons or more, we reserve the right to specify deviating conditions in our offer.

6. Liability
The contractual partner of the hotel or the guest as such or as host is fully liable to the hotelier for damages caused by himself or his guests. Any use of the rooms provided that deviates from the contract shall entitle the hotel to terminate the contract without notice. This shall not diminish the right to the agreed fee. The hotel reserves the right to withdraw from the contract if the provision of the service has become impossible due to force majeure or industrial action, without any claims for damages being derived therefrom. The hotel shall be liable for items brought in in accordance with the provisions of the German Civil Code (BGB). Liability is excluded if the room or the containers from which objects were stolen were unlocked. Liability shall only be assumed for valuables if they are deposited against receipt at the reception desk. Money must also be deposited against receipt at the reception desk. The hotel is liable for the correctness of the service description in brochures as well as for the proper provision of the contractually agreed services. The hotel shall not be liable for the services of the hotels or services brokered by it.
7. Final provisions
In commercial transactions, the place of performance and jurisdiction shall be Cochem on the Moselle. Oral agreements shall only become effective once the hotel has confirmed them in writing. Should individual provisions of these General Terms and Conditions be invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the other provisions.
Cancellation fees for individual travellers in accordance with Clause 5 in % of the total price:
- until the 22nd day before arrival, 18:00 hrs: 10 %
- until the 8th day before arrival. Day 18:00: 15 %
- until day 3, 18:00: 25 %
- until 1 day before arrival, 18:00: 40 %
- on arrival day until 18:00: 80 %
- In case of later cancellation or non-arrival without cancellation, 90 % are due for the first night and 80 % for a maximum of three subsequent nights.
